Resort Concierge Wins State Hospitality Award

The Clarion Nantasket Beach Resort Hotel and Spa is pleased to announce that Hull’s own Jim Yacobucci, chef concierge at the resort, was honored with the Hospitality Person of the Year Award, at the 21st Annual Governor’s Conference on Travel & Tourism. Governor Duval Patrick was the featured speaker, and television news anchor, Joyce Kulhawik presented the award to Jim, along with a dozen or so other hospitality award winners from around the State.

“This is great honor for Hull, for the Hotel, and for me,” Jim Yacobucci, a 36-year long resident of Hull said. . “Pride in our community, and showing visitors how to capture the most enjoyment from all the attractions of our seacoast village is more like fun, than work,” he said. “Receiving this level of recognition from the State is a tribute I will always treasure.”

The award was presented during a February 29th breakfast of the Governor’s Conference on Travel & Tourism, a two-day event drawing several hundred hospitality professionals from across the state. Managers from the Clarion Nantasket Beach Resort Hotel & Spa, along with members of the Hull Chamber of Commerce were on-hand at the breakfast to cheer Jim on.

The Massachusetts Office of Travel & Tourism (MOTT), hosts the conference, and is the state agency dedicated to promoting Massachusetts as a modern, exciting, accessible and diverse leisure travel destination set in the midst of rich historical and cultural tradition.
